Sandstone rock formations in the heart of Europe

Adršpach is a village inhabited by approximately 500 people, yet some call it a city - more precisely the city of rocks (skalní město). This small village shares with nearby town Teplice nad Metují the largest rock labyrinth in the Czech Republic. The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks (Adršpašsko-teplické skály) are visited by thousands of tourists every year. First tourists appeared in Adršpach during the 18th century and famous German author Johann Wolfgang Goethe was among them (visited in 1790).

Adršpach is also a place widely used by filmmakers, mainly for fairy-tales and fantasy films and TV series (i.e. The Third Prince, The Prince and The Evening Star, Hell with Princess, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Musketeers, Carnival Row), music videos, climbing and nature documentaries or various commercial advertisements.
