Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development provides a shared roadmap for peace and
prosperity for people and the planet today and in the future.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are at the core of it, and
they constitute an urgent call to action by all nations - developed and
developing - in a global partnership. eradicating poverty and other
hardships must be accompanied by initiatives that promote health and
education, decrease inequality, and stimulate economic growth, all while
combating climate change and fighting to protect our seas and forests.
