한글
History
Korean alphabet was created by King Sejong the Great in 1443. The letters (vowels and consonants) reflect the shape of the speech organs used to pronounce them, making Hangul a featural writing system.
King Sejong the Great created Hangul to help the common people become
literate. Hangul is the only aphabet in the world for which the name
of its creator and date of founding are known.
