My Favorite Garden Style

Natural-Cottage Garden

House with garden that has a grass field, paved sitting area with string lights above and flower beds surrounding it.

Wildlife lives in all gardens. The key thing about wildlife gardeners is that they are aware of and interested in the creatures in their garden and they manage their gardens with wildlife in mind.
Being a wildlife gardener means you can still grow the flowers you love, harvest food, indulge your design ideas or have a playground for the kids (and the dog). Don't feel limited to one garden style. Cottage and natural garden design mix well together for example. If you want to add more garden styles together consider creating different spaces in your garden. By creating different spaces in your garden you create more dimension, interest and possibilities for you to create and enjoy.

Remember there is no such thing as a No-Maintence Garden. Don't let this discourage you! Instead consider these amazing benefits gardening has:

Whatever garden style you love; We strongly discourage a completetly paved over garden, unless medically necessary, because this deprives animals of space to live, it can heat up your house and it reduces the possibility of water infiltrating the soil and recharging groundwater, also increasing the risk of urban flooding.

Garden with rock wall with flower bed on top, water cascading down the rocks and a lawn below. Large flowerbed in garden with golden sunshine. Traditional garden with rows of squared box-hedges, filled in with lavender and bay trees in the middle
