WAKtiv Coworking

Initiating Rural Coworking in Wartburgkreis, Germany

WAKtiv Coworking is a movement aiming to spread the idea of rural coworking and open community rooms in Wartburgkreis, Thuringia; initiated by Hanna Heiderich. The idea is to make existing community rooms accessible for at least one day a week. That day, several interest groups are invited to use the community rooms within certain time slots. Mornings are reserved for students and workers in home-office, while pupils can join them for home-work groups in the afternoon. The elderly and other interested community members are invited to join both groups for educational sessions covering topics such as digitalization, the use of smart phones and other questions that are raised by attendees in the late afternoon. Monthly events and get-togethers could be added to the agenda.
