The Bubbly Dough Baby

Sourdough Adventures

Sourdough is a bread made by the fermentation of dough using wild lactobacillaceae and yeast. In layman's terms, it is a mixture of flour and water that is left to ferment (change in a chemical process) and then used to make bread or other treats.

Sourdough can grow quickly depending on how much you "feed" your starter. It doesn't take long for it to evolve into a thriving bubbly dough baby and you will soon learn the signs of when it's hungry and needs to be fed again.

The variety of recipes one can make with sourdough are endless! It goes way beyond a round breadloaf. Muffins, Pancakes, Cinnamon Rolls, Scones, Engligh Muffins, Granola, Pizza Crust and Dinner Rolls are just a small sampling of the delicious treats one can make!
