Death metal is a subgenre of metal. The main characteristics of it include tremolo picking, heavy guitar distortion, low tuning, aggressive drumming incuding blast beats and double kick, and deep growling vocals. It originated in the mid 80s in the United States, particularly Florida. I will tell you a little bit about my top 5 favorite albums at the moment and I will include a link to one of my favorite songs from each one. Learn more on Wikipedia
