KINDNESS
It looks great on you
Kindness isn't always in the big, grand gestures. It's simply engaging with the people you see, know and meet and letting them know that they are seen. In our hectic and fast paced world, taking a second of your day to show people that you recognise their humanity will stay with them longer than you think. Let's face it life is tough - a little bit of kindness hurts no-one.
How can you practice kindness?
Practice noticing the needs of others and thinking of ways to help. It
doesn't have to be money, your words and time can be much more valuable.
Some ideas you could start with are:
-
Smile!
Even a tiny quirk of lips go a long way -
Tell people thank you and mean it
People can always detect genuine appreciation -
Genuinely listen to people
You'll be surprised at what you'll learn -
Consciously avoid judgement
Give people the freedom to be who they are
The best place to start, is to be kind to the person you spend the most time with... yourself.
