Tarot cards don't predict the future, but reading them
might help you figure yours out.
Any given Tarot deck includes a total of 78 cards, split into what are
called the minor arcana and the major arcana. The major arcana, complete
with 22 cards, is made up of the suits we typically associate with
tarot- the Magician, the Lovers, etc., and represents life's karmic and
spiritual lessons.
The minor arcanca, consisting of 56 cards, includes four suits, as well
as kings, queens and jacks; similar to a regular deck of playing cards.
The minor arcana cards reflect the more practical trials that we face on
a daily basis.
Every Tarot card in the deck has its own unique meaning. When you know what each Tarot card means, you can understand the messages and advice they are trying to send you! By focusing on a question and drawing cards with that in mind, you
are able to explore your unconscious self and form a story using the
cards you draw and the meanings behind them.
Tarot reading is not "fortune-telling", nor is it absolute. Reading
styles typically differ greatly from person to person, and the resulting
meaning is largely left open to interpretation by the one who is
receiving the reading and what they sought from the experience.
