From acidic whites to full bodied reds, there’s a Spanish wine for every
pallet. Spain is the third largest producer of wines in the world after
France and Italy. The most commonly produced red grape is
Tempranillo. The most common white grape is Airén, which
is used in the production of Sherry. Internationally, the most well
known Spanish wines are Rioja, Ribera del Duero and
Albariño but the selection is close to endless. On top of the
wide selection, the price of Spanish wines is incredible as compared to
that of other countries. Spanish winemakers and bodegas are
consistently producing high quality wines at very affordable prices. You
can find a great bottle for under fifteen Euros. If you haven’t had the
chance to try a Spanish wine yet, I highly recommend it!
