Urban Mobility

Mobility Week and Car-Free Sunday

Brussels, 16-22 September 2022

European Mobility Week

Every year the European Commission organises a campaign to raise awareness about sustainable urban mobility under the name EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK . The idea is to promote more active mobility, public transport, and other clean and intelligent transport solutions. The main event will take place from 16 to 22 September and conclude with the popular Car-Free Day. Across Europe, local authorities are encouraged to use the week as an opportunity to promote new mobility technologies, test innovative planning measures, measure air quality, and engage with citizens. The number of cities and towns that join is increasing every year, and thanks to the media appeal the mobility week is an established driving force in making urban mobility more sustainable in Europe and beyond.
