The first idea that comes to someone's mind when "defensive tactics"
is mentioned is self defense or martial arts. This is the primary
concept of defensive tactics, as it is all in the name. There are so
many options when it comes to the different disciplines that can be
learned for protection. To review some of these options, please click

Disciplines
Not only can you use defensive tactics/ martial arts as a form of self defense, but continuous practice of these disciplines can lead to a person's overall health and well being. Some benefits include physical exercise, stress relief, and increased self-esteem. To read about these benefits and others click here.
The benefits previously listed can add up to an individual building up their own self confidence. When someone feels confident that they can reasonably protect themselves, while getting regular exercise that can make them feel healthier, they feel more self confident about life and its challenges. That's why I encourage everyone to do their research and find a defensive tactics discipline that fits their lifestyle.
