Doodles and you

Doodling - what once was thought to be a mindless activity that showed a listener's disinterest and boredom can actually be a useful tool to aid recall and comprehension. Studies have found that doodling can actually improve recall of information by over 20%. Whether in the classroom or boardroom, doodling engages multiple senses which allow users to make connections between pieces of information. The result is a visual expression of their understanding. Students, politicians, and entrepreneurs have used this strategy. Doodling is clearly not just the mindless act we've thought it to be.

Doodling also provides mental health benefits. It can help one to relax, enhance creativity, and even be part of a mindfulness activity.
