Engineer + Project Manager

Rebecca in front of the Eiffel Tower

Inquisitive and influential leader with experience directing cross functional teams to deliver results as an engineer and project manager. I add value by bringing order to chaos and taking the initiative to revive stagnant ventures. I’ve managed projects up to $5 million and worked on large teams for international multibillion dollar energy developments. Since earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University, I’ve worked in Texas, Colorado, Louisiana, and Western Australia.

I grew up watching science fiction shows with my dad, a fellow engineer, because no one else in my family liked them. He and I bonded over these shows because of all the possibilities they present - especially from the viewpoint of innovation and discovery.

I went into engineering to maintain a sense of wonder in my life. I am naturally curious and love to learn. I want to be excited about what I’m working on and the problems I’m solving. Engineering allows me to take something that is a part of my personality and make it real, practical, and actionable.

When I'm not working, travel fulfills my sense of wonder. I've been to 5 of the 7 continents and plan to make it to all of them one day. I also have a goal to visit all 50 US state capitals. I enjoy planning my trips as much as taking them. That's the project manager in me.
