When in doubt, just look up

One day, while standing outside the grocery store and waiting for the bus, my sister asked. What now? We just watch the sunset, I responded. And the sky exploded!

The picture of that random afternoon is at the bottom right. I of course never imagined this was going to happen, but it did. As if the sky knew that I was counting on it, to put on it's best show.

Here is my favorite quote about humans and sunsets:

“One of the most satisfying experiences I know is just fully to appreciate an individual in the same way I appreciate a sunset. When I look at a sunset... I don't find myself saying, 'Soften the orange a little more on the right hand corner, put a bit more purple along the base, and use a little more pink in the cloud color...' I don't try to control a sunset. I watch it with awe as it unfolds.
