Wanderlust is one of the words which is proved to have been adopted from the German into the English language since 1902 and has the following meaning: The desire (Lust) to hike (Wandern), the constant inner drive to explore nature and the world away from or even close to home on foot. Most of us experience the wish to visit faraway places once in a while! This feeling is so familiar that we have this special word for it. It represents that urge to break from everyday life and experience something new and unknown.
