We are a german couple living in Vienna. This year, we decided to have a one-week-trip to Italy. We are going to take the nightjet train to Venice and will start our italian journey from there. This is going to be our route through Italy. We love to share this plan with everybody who is interested and if you are also in Italy in the end of August please let us know. We would love to have a coffee ☕️ or wine 🍷 with you!
Venice, Italian Venezia, city, major seaport, and capital of both the provincia (province) of Venezia and the regione (region) of Veneto, northern Italy. An island city, it was once the centre of a maritime republic. It was the greatest seaport in late medieval Europe and the continent’s commercial and cultural link to Asia. Venice is unique environmentally, architecturally, and historically, and in its days as a republic the city was styled la serenissima (“the most serene” or “sublime”). It remains a major Italian port in the northern Adriatic Sea and is one of the world’s oldest tourist and cultural centres.
Padua's biggest tourist attraction is the Scrovegni Chapel (Cappella degli Scrovegni), with its priceless frescoes by Giotto. Despite the town's many other interesting sights, this is the only place in Padua where tourism has taken over. The Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua (known simply as Il Santo) is also on some tourism/pilgrimage circuits but through the rest of town you're more likely to encounter students and smartly-dressed businesspeople than tourists. There is a lot more to Padua than these two sights, however. The town centre is an attractive place to explore, with many historic streets to wander. It's always been a wealthy town, and has fine architecture dating to different eras. Giotto's are not the only frescoes in town, and the art-lover has masses to admire in the town's churches and art gallery. And after the visitor has enjoyed Padua's lovely parks and gardens, and strolled the pleasant arcaded streets, there is still plenty to do in the area around the town: villas to visit, boat trips and thermal spas.
Lake Garda is Italy’s largest freshwater lake and one of the most popular holiday destinations in northern Italy. one of the most beautiful spots on the whole lake, at least my favourite one is Sirmione, a magical meeting between turquoise water and a land praised by poets over two thousand years ago. The small historic town is located on the tip of a long peninsula protruding from the southern shore of the lake between Desenzano del Garda and Peschiera.
The best Kitesurfing schools at Lake Garda are Proboarder in Brenzone sul Garda and the Kitesurf school Wind in Limone sur Garda. We really love kitesurfing and whenever the wind is right we will also do some kitesurfing at Lake Garda 🏄♀️.
