Texas A&M University is one of many universities in the United States who have a live mascot on campus. However, unlike most, Reveille is instilled in the traditions of the school and the Corps of Cadets. Reveille is known as the highest ranking member of the Corps of Cadets with five star diamonds, and officially became the mascot after walking the band on the field to perform in 1931. This is a continued tradition today in which the Mascot Corporal, Reveille’s handler (currently from company E-2), will sprint across the football field, enticing TAMU fans to scream and shout getting ready for the game.
Miss Rev, as she is widely known across campus, the heart of the university continues to inspire and lead students year after year!
