Experience the Rose Valley


The Rose Valley in Karlovo and Kazankak is the home of the Bulgarian Rose, Rosa Damascena. The Rose Valley or Rozova Dolina is a region located just south of the Balkan Mountains in Bulgaria.

Every year there is a picking season which lasts from May to June. You can join in on the rose picking on weekend mornings when special rural reenactments are organised around the villages.

After the festival, the roses are used to create all kinds of unique products, some of which you can find below.
