Tip 1: Update your winter skincare routine
Drier skin during the winter months shouldn't require a complete
change of products. Instead it is best to listen to your skin and try
to accomodate specific needs, by changing one or two products. And
don't forget to moisturise every day! UV rays are harmful all year
round, especially when reflected on snowy surfaces, so never leave
home without applying an SPF of 30 or higher.
Tip 2: Don't forget your winter body skincare
The skin on our bodies needs love and attention too, even though most
of it is covered at this time of year. Add a gentle body exfoliant to
your routine to avoid build-up of skin cells. Moisturise daily with a
rich body cream to hydrate and protect your skin.
Tip 3: Restore dry winter skin on your face
If you experience a lot of dryness during winter, it is important to
protect and restore the skin's natural barrier. Try adding a serum to
your routine, that will help your skin stay extra-hydrated. A toner is
another great option to replenish the skin's surface.
Tip 4: Protect dry lips during winter
Lips are sensitive to cold weather because they produce less oil than
the rest of the face, so it's important to take extra care of them
during winter. Protect and nourish them with a lip balm with SPF
during the day and a treatment balm as lip mask for the night.
Tip 5: Soften dry skin around the eyes during winter
Cold, windy weather also means the delicate skin around the eyes can
get drier. If you haven't already, it's time to add an eye cream to
your routine. Not enough? Then an overnight eye mask is also a great
option!
