Dachshunds are, hands down, the best dog breed in the
world.
According to the American Kennel Club, se so-called wiener dogs have an
"unmistakable long-backed body, little legs, and big personality". Dachshunds date back to the 18th century in Germany, where German
breeders created a small and fast dog that would haunt badgers, hence,
their name which means
“badger hunter” in German.
Wiener dogs are playful, loyal and very smart; nevertheless, as natural
hunters, they are also prone to chase small animals with ferocity, be
very stubborn and bark with the determination of a 100-pound dog.
