What is your Attachment Style?

Secure, Anxious, Avoidant and Fearful

Attachments

I am passionate about psychology and learning about attachment styles! Everyone forms an attachment style with their primary caregivers during their childhood. This attachment style formed in childhood affects the way we relate to our romantic partners in our adult lives. Secure attachment style is characterized by strong relationships, high trust, affection, resilience, and self-esteem. Anxious attachment style is characterized by low self-esteem, neediness, distrust, and fear of rejection. Avoidant attachment style is characterized by hiding emotions and withdrawing from others. Lastly, the fearful avoidant attachment style is characterized by wanting connection but fearing it at the same time. Attachment styles are fluid and can be changed. We are all born wired for secure attachment, and this is what we all want to return to!😻
