Delicious afternoon snack with an impecable chocolate-vanilla ratio
Ingredients (10 servings):
Base Batter:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1.5 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup milk
Save for later:
2 tbsp cocoa powder
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Begin by mixing in a bowl all of the ingredient for the vanilla cake (four, baking powder, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk).
Reserve 1 cup of batter and set aside. Pour the remainder of vanilla batter into pan.
Stir the cocoa powder into the reserved batter.
Sprinkle cocoa batter over the top of vanilla batter. Using a knife, swirl the cocoa batter into the vanilla batter to create waves (the marble effect)
Put the pan into the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until an inserted knife comes out clean (no batter sticks to the knife).
