I recently read a heartwarming story about how a sweet woman from New
Jersey, Candice Benbow, baked her noisy neighbor a pound cake after
staying up at night from his loud music. Instead of angrily confronting
him or calling the cops, she left the pound cake by his door along with
a letter she wrote him explaining how his 3am house party disturbed her
sleep. Through this unexpected kindness, a friendship was birthed
between two neighbors who both turned out to be new to the area, each
processing grief from a recent death of their family member.

Inspired by this story, I have created the
Baking & Kindness challenge. This challenge aims to use
baking to promote kindness in unexpected circumstances. If you are
inspired to bake for a stranger, a loud neighbor, a quiet co-worker, or
an estranged relative/friend, join me in this challenge!
