L.A.M.E.E is a global community made up of thousands of POC fem individuals just ready to live their best lives. You have heard of black girl magic but we also need a space for the nerdy girls; the S.T.E.M, quirky girls. Our site promotes positivity, growth, sisterhood and a passion for knowledge.
‘ L’ stands for Luxury, in many POC cultures investing in luxury in not encoraged. but here we want you to invest in yourself and your interests. fun is not just for the rich. ‘Treat yourself!’ why not come to a spa day on us? Or shopping with 25% off all black owned luxury brands all year round?
‘A’ stands for Anime. POC are forced to grow up too fast and to not partake/ enjoy in creative ventures. We encourage all interested to look at the curated list of POC movies and shows on our mailing lists. Have fun, make friends and if you feel inspired to cosplay please tag us!
‘M’ stands for movies. In collaboration with our sponsors Vue and Odeon we will be hosting a double feature extravaganza every Friday night for 2 months starting with POC SCI-FI 1870 ‘binti’ and 1871 ‘children of blood and bone’. ‘E’ stands for environmental matters. We try to encourage our community to actively participate in their communities (litter pick up, habitat restructuring, etc). We encourage exploration through our meet ups and, camping trips, we help organise protest and get funding where it is needed while educating our self.
‘E’ stands for Equality. L.A.M.E.E is an environment for people to feel safe, seen and comfortable, no one should feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Please be respectful of other members and this safe space or administration will be forced to remove you from this space.
