This choose your own adventure game is inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, first published in 1865 with illustrations by Sir John Tenniel. Since then, this timeless story has been translated into over 170 languages and has inspired hundreds of film/television adaptations.
The images you will see are taken from a 1918 card game called The New and Diverting Game of Alice in Wonderland, with rules very similar to "Go Fish". The deck which consisted of 48 cards, or 16 sets of three, would be dealt out to each player and the objective would then be to complete the most sets.
