Salsa Dancing

Salsa is a Latin dance associated with the music genre of the same name which was first popularized in the United States in the 1960s in New York City, and it's still popular to this day! Salsa is an amalgamation of Cuban dances such mambo, pachanga, and rumba as well as American dances such as swing and tap.

Latin dances, like Salsa, are known for their sultry steps and the strong connections between partners. And when you learn to Latin dance (yes, you can learn!), you will notice just how spicy this style of dance makes you feel.

Speaking from personal experience, I love salsa dancing! I first started going with a friend at a salsa event in Charlottesville, VA, took the one hour crash course on salsa dancing, then improved my skills by practicing with and learning from experienced dancers from the salsa community.
