Seventeen (세븐틴) is a Kpop idol group consisting of 13 members. Seventeen are under Pledis entertainment and debuted on May 26th 2016 with the song 'Adore u'. Their official fandom name is 'carat' and their representitiive colours are rose quartz and serenity. From before their official debut to the present day, the Seventeen members have had a hand in producing and writing their songs as well as creating their own choreography; because of this, the South Korean public gave them the nickname 'self producing idols' because they are involved in every aspect of their success. Seventeen have one awards both domestically and internationally for their music and continue to chart on music charts in both South Korea and other parts of the world.
Since their debut in 2015, Seventeen have released 3 full length albums, 2 repackaged albums and 9 mini albums. They made their Japanese debut May 30th 2018 with the song 'call, call, call' and have released 4 japanese projects to date inluding 'Fallin' Flower' and most recently 'Power of Love'. They are able to continue producing music in the japanese market because of the consistent support of their Japanese fans. As of 2021, Seventeen have broken many records in Japan such as having their single 'Happy Ending' become the longest charting single in Japan by spending 100 weeks on the Oricon charts. Every member of Seventeen also has at least one solo project ranging from singles, mixtapes, covers and OSTs.
