Gustav Metzger's installation, Liquid Crystal Environment invites us into a world where art, science and technology collide. Heat-sensitive liquid crystals inserted into projectors create an evolving and varying display of colour and patterns, formed through a heating and cooling process. This process is projected into a room, creating a total sensory environment.
