OK now that the tea puns are out of my system, let's talk about tea. Tea originated in China, then spread to Japan, then to Holland, and it eventually made it's way throughout the rest of Europe. Tea has so many different types with tons of health benefits.
Black tea is known to help improve gut health, reduce body fat, lower the risk of stroke and may help reduce blood pressure.
Green tea may help improve your metabolism, lower the risk of cardiovascular health, and even prevent cancer. Green tea has EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), which is a powerful antioxidant that can be 100 more potent than vitamin C and can help fight cancer.
White tea may help break down fat, reduce the risk of heart disease, prevent cavities, and has similar antioxidant benefits to green tea- like fighting cancer.
Now, if you have tried tea before and have found it to be too bitter, I'm going to suggest brewing the tea at a very specific temperature. Different tea types will have different temperatures you should brew them at for the best flavor. Many people associate green tea with being really bitter, and it's usually because the water it's brewed in is too hot.
