What is it and what is its importance?

Artificial intelligence (AI) enables machines to learn from experiences, adjust to new data inputs and perform tasks like human beings. Most of the AI examples you hear about today from master chess computers to autonomous cars rely on deep learning and natural language processing. With these technologies, computers can be trained to perform specific tasks when processing large amounts of data and recognizing patterns in that data.
