Being a
goalkeeper
as a hockey player is a very distinct and specific position. To be
honest you need to be a bit crazy when it comes to taking on this
position as you litterally are wanting people to fire rock solid balls
at you. However scary some people say it is, goalkeeping is the best and
the goalkeeping community is the best. Goalkeepers require strength and
agility, but a huge part of it is your
mental toughness.
Goalkeeping is the most rewarding position and would recommend that
anyone wanting to give it a go should take the opportunity and see just
how quickly you fall in love with it.
There is a lot of kit required, but you can get it all personalised so
you look like a
colourful
transformer !
