deepest lake in the U.S. With its vibrant green to blue hues and iconic
granite boulders, Lake Tahoe straddles the California-Nevada border and
sits at 6,225 feet above sea level. It is surrounded by the majestic
peaks of the Sierra Nevada and Carson Ranges. It is also one of the
purest water lakes in the world, the water being 99.994% pure. Lake
Tahoe is popular for both summer and winter activities.
