Grüner Veltliner is here! An Austrian beauty and the first in my holy
trinity of white wines (followed closely by Riesling and Gewürztraminer.)
Expect a ripe nose of pear, cantaloupe, and pineapple with an
intense, buttery-fresh explosion of stone fruits in the mouth. Minerality of
herbs and white pepper to be enjoyed here, with an oakiness similar to
Chardonnay. Borderlining amber in colour, this dry but honeyed gem is made
all the more special with medium-full bodied legs that coat the glass and
a hint of sparkle on the tastebuds.
