I have been riding over the past 1-2 years, mostly with #TeamAbsolute. As of 15 Dec 2021, I have completed 85 rides! I've recently gone for the Absolute Auditions and made it to the callbacks. Unfortunately, I could not continue with my instructor journey with Team Absolute as my full time job deters me from committing to the Absolute Cycle Academy Training period. However, I will not stop there! When one door closes, another will open. With my continued passion for riding and new-found confidence as a rider, here's to my journey of #becoming a ride instructor!
Why Spin?
While many may think this workout is #basic and some may even scoff at the
idea of it, I have grown and been blessed in my entire journey thus far.
Initially, riding was a means to escape the daily hustle and negative
thoughts relating to the overwhelming circumstances of adulting. I could
not find purpose in what I do and yet, work was almost 100% of my life.
Week in and week out, as I go for classes, it's like a divine
intervention, a weekly meditation and *therapy* session (if i may say so
myself). I get reminded of how I am not the thoughts that do not serve me,
I am stronger than what my fixed mindset tells me to be. I get a chance to
challenge and better myself every single time I step on the bike. I learnt
to give grace and space to myself to grow and to love. I've learnt to work
on myself and my mindset, to be one who is not only blessed, but who is
able to bless as well.
Long story short, spin isn't just a workout for me, its is my safe
space and my second home.β€οΈ
