According to the
American Pie Council, approximately $700 million in pies (~186 million units) are sold in
grocery stores every year. This does not include restaurants, food
service or price clubs, only grocery stores. Imagine if even 1% of that
business went to local bakeries instead of large grocery store chains!
It is so important to support our local bakeries, and I hope this will encourage you to find a new bakery near you and give them a try!
