Deaths in the English Channel

Since the start of 2020, more than 30,000 people have risked death crossing to the UK aboard dinghies, kayaks and other small boats.

The hostile narrative created by the government and the media has sought to demonise vulnerable people crossing the Channel. With documented police violence on the French coast, and fewer lorries making the crossing, people will increasingly continue to risk their lives to make the crossing via sea. The Royal National Lifeboat Institute has been rescuing people at sea for over 200 years and have recently been attacked for saving the lives of asylum seekers trying to cross the Channel.

Mounting Fascism in the UK

A group of fishermen allegedly tried to block an RNLI lifeboat from travelling to rescue asylum seekers, days before at least 27 people drowned off the coast of Calais. While people feel empowered to protect their shores at the cost of others lives, the Government is no better. New legislation has been proposed to be able to strip UK-Born nationals of their citizenship. Is Britain becoming a fascist state, and is there anything that can be done about it?
