The extraordinary light of Amsterdam
Getting out on daily walks in a new neighborhood during the pandemic has rekindled my love of photography. It is a simple adventure and most importantly, fun. I take photos with my phone. The natural light in and around Amsterdam provides the dramatic effects that remind me of the cityscapes, country sides and ocean scenes of the Dutch Romantic and Hague School paintings. Mostly I leave the natural image, but sometimes it is fun to play with filters as I did above in this image.
