"The goal of mindfulness is to wake up to the inner workings of our mental, emotional, and physical processes. Mindfulness is an integrative, mind-body based approach that helps people to manage their thoughts and feelings and mental health. Mindfulness exercises are ways of paying attention to the present moment, using techniques like meditation, breathing, and yoga."
Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. It is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth. It is not a passive or static state but rather an “active pursuit” that is associated with intentions, choices and actions as we work toward an optimal state of health and wellbeing. Wellness is also linked to holistic health—that is, it extends beyond physical health and incorporates many different dimensions that should work in harmony.
Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
