Why Dobermans are misunderstood

A plea for more training for dog owners

Did you know that Dobermans were bred as companion dogs for bounty hunters? At least that's the legend. In 2000s Doberman was less and less being used as a guard and working dog. Many new lovers of the breed, wanted a friendly family dog with the respectable exterior. The selection based on the wrong criteria caused a flood of overwhelmed new owners, aggressive animals in the shelter and a bad reputation, which continues to this day.
Undeservedly, Dobermans are one of the friendliest family dogs in Europe. Dobermans are high-energy dogs. They need 2-3 hours of physical and mental exercise. And if the owner fails to delivery that exercise, they tend to display agressiv behavior to release pent-up energy.

You want to learn more and be the best owner to your doberman, you possibly can?
