As the world was shutting down, people were forced indoors. We had to get
creative with our time. We played boardgames, we zoomed with friends, we
played videogames, we picked up new hobbies. With enough time inside
boredom strikes. In June 2020 we decided to get a furever friend. The
choice was easy, we wanted to rescue a dog. This dog is Lucy.
Adopting from a shelter is much more affordable than buying a purebread dog. We chose to get a rescue dog because millions of dogs a year are estimated to be euthanized.
We did not have a preference to breed, we just wanted to do the right thing. The second we met her, we knew she was meant for us. She gave us so many kisses and you can tell
she knew she was coming home. Lucy was found on the streets of Alabama and is now spoiled rotten in her home in New Jersey.
