Also known as the Queen Bolete, Boletus aereus is a most sought-after edible mushroom. It is found mainly in central and southern Europe, being rare in colder climes such as England, and also in Western North America, where it is also uncommon.
It is well known for its culinary qualities that make it the king of boletus, even more appreciated than Boletus edulis.
