Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation film studio, based in Tokyo. Founded 1985 by Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata and Toshio Suzuki, it has created some of the most successful Japanese anime films ever made.
In 2003 its film, Spirited Away, won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, making it the first and to this day, the only hand-drawn, animated film to ever win the award.
