Techno is a form of electronic music. But I'm not going to explain about
the genre, you can check it out
here if you're
interested.
I just wanted to share what I have experienced through techno. Obviously
I enjoy the music itself but after some time I realized that it's more
than just music. It's a subculture. And inside this
subculture there is a culture of solidarity and
love for people. Because, if you think about it, that's what
actually matters in life. To be able to step outside a bit from our
self-centered minds and help out someone that is in need. And that's
what I witnessed in many of these parties, I might not know any of these
people but if they see me having trouble or see me in search of
something as basic as water, they won't hesitate and gladly give me
their bottle of water with a smile. And this is just one small example
of how the vibe is amongst techno lovers. It's a wave of acceptance and
love for who you are, as you are. With no judgement. The interesting
part is that what connects us, obviously, is the music. And my question
to society is, "If we are able to have this mindset in a
'simple' event such as a party, why can't we have this kind of
mindset in general, towards life and others that surround us?"
