A hamburger - a sandwich consisting of one or more cooked patties of ground meat, usually beef, placed inside a sliced bread roll or bun. The patty may be pan fried, grilled, smoked or flame broiled.
Le Big Matt Burger at Emmy Squared is the fraternal twin to the Emmy Burger at Emily. It has two thinner patties instead of one big one, American cheese instead of cheddar, pickles and spicy sauce - all on that insanely good pretzel bun that you can only find at the Emily establishments. The burger comes with waffle fries, but I highly recommend ordering a 'side' of Detroit pizza as well - this for the ultimate food-gasm. Fun-note: this is intended to resemble a fast food burger, but if that's true then I never had a good fast food burger!
There is rarely a wrong time to add pork to a burger as demonstrated by the many bacon topped burgers. But the BBQ heroes at Pig Beach take it one step further by adding a pile of pulled pork to the white American cheese-topped perfect potato roll. Besides the amazing burger, the BBQ spot is located in a beautiful outdoor area in Brooklyn, a must Summer visit!
A classic spot: The corner tavern has been flipping some of the best burgers in town since 1972. Griddled diner-style one a flattop, the eight ounce, medium rare beauty is served open faced with melted American cheese on a slight toasted bun with the classic fixings, sliced red onion, tomato and lettuce. Don't forget to order their cottaged fried potatoes and dip them in their home made chili.
