Toer de Geuze

Celebrating Belgian sour beer

What is Toer de Geuze?
The Belgian beer style Lambic is about 1,000 years old and the oldest beer still produced today. A marvelous feat considering that technology has so much advanced the beer industry and a rightful cause for celebration! Toer de Geuze, held in May, is a biennal festival of lambic beers to celebrate just that. The Toer de Geuze is a so-called open door event held every 2 years where the HORAL members (currently 10 Lambic producers) open their breweries to the public for two days. It’s free and no tickets are needed. People can stop by to visit and try a selection of the breweries’ beers. A special hop-on hop-off bus line connects the different breweries. Next year the physical tour is planned on April 30 and May 1, 2022 in Pajottenland and Senne Valley.
