With the three space probes Pioneer 11 and Voyager 1 and 2, the first artificial the 1970s and early 1980s, artificial scouts reached Saturn for the first time. They revolutionized our view of the ringed planet and its 62 known moons. Instead of just four rings, Saturn is surrounded by thousands of narrow rings.
