Naruto: Shippuden
is an anime series adapted from Part II of Masashi Kishimoto's manga
series, with exactly 500 episodes. It is set two and a half years after
Part I in the Naruto universe, following the ninja teenager Naruto
Uzumaki and his allies. Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden are set on a
fictionalized Earth where people are born with innate, elemental chakra
powers. The world, as it exists, is divided into five global powers and
some smaller countries. These countries are named and organized around
the dominant elemental trait of the people who live there.
