Wearing a mask is good for two reasons: Itβs going to cut down 95
percent of the breathing that sends the virus up to 6 feet away in a
room, and also will transmission by preventing the virus from getting
into your nose or mouth if you touch a contaminated surface and then
your face
Step 1: Make sure you have the correct tools.
- Tight woven cotton fabric
- Elastic
- Sewing Machine, Scissors & Thread
Step 2: Print out patter and lay flat on fabric.
After pinning your patten down cut around the pattern, noting where
the alignment marks are.
Step 3: Pin the fabric together with the side of
the fabric you want to show on the outside on the inside (if you
have a pattern). When you are pinning the fabric together pin the
elastic in between the sheets so the raw edges are on the outside
and the elastic is in between the fabric.
Step 4: Sew around the edges of the fabric leaving
a small opening.
Step 5: Turn mask right-side out and hand stitch
the small opening together.
Step 6: make 3 pleats across the length of the
mask; pin in place. Fix the pleats by stitching across the end of
the mask.
That's It!
If your are still not convinced to wear a mask you can find more
