☀️ The Importance of SPF ☀️
Why you should wear suncream daily
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. It protects the
skin from the sun's harmful UV rays, which are always there. Even on
cloudy, rainy days 🌧
There are two types of UV rays that affect your skin:
UVA rays which penetrate deep into the skin which can result
in premature ageing and UVB rays which cause sunburn and
other superficial damage to the surface of the skin, such as
hyperpigmentation.
Not only are these UV rays the main cause of skin ageing but they can
also cause skin cancer. Using a sunscreen with an
SPF 30 daily will protect your skin and keep it
healthy. Healthy skin prevents early signs of ageing.
Whether its winter or summer, rain or shine, the skin is vulnerable to
sun damage, even when indoors as UV rays can pass through glass. It is
always important to protect your skin against sun damage by using an
SPF in your daily routine and should be a year round commitment.
